I am sharing with my readers a Foreword for my Poetry Book, SWEET MEDLEY, written by a renowned poet from India, Dr. Vandita Dharni. 

FOREWORD

The Book, ‘Sweet Medley: A Poetic Joy’ encapsulates a feeling of warmth, love and compassion. 

The poet Brenda Mohammed has inked her profound musings in this exquisite bouquet of verses. The poems are infused with nostalgia, yet there is hope igniting the dark tunnel of life in all its manifestations. 

Being a visionary, Brenda always has a positive approach in her poems. She is a cancer survivor who has always epitomized strength despite the vicissitudes in her life. Her tribute to the admins of ‘How to Write for Success’ reveals her humility, selflessness, and graciousness in acknowledging others before herself.

She has conceived a bright future in her poem, ‘World of Tomorrow’. Her poetic expression has subtle overtones of a mystic, yet she also exemplifies courage, grit, and fortitude. Her poems are always a reader’s delight. Another poem that truly caught my attention was, ‘True Love,’ where she employs the beautiful metaphor of a seed to compare true love:

 “I believe true love is similar to a seed.

It must be planted, nurtured, and kept free of weeds.”

Brenda’s poems resonate with each of us readers because she pours out her soul into them. She is a prolific author who has authored sixty-eight books. I wish her all the very best for her future endeavours.
