ZEEKA AND THE ZOMBIES II is a Finalist in the 13Horror-com Film & Screenplay Contest 2025. 

ZEEKA AND THE ZOMBIES II: A FUTURISTIC SCI-FI HORROR THRILLER, written by internationally acclaimed author and screenwriter Trinidadian Brenda Mohammed, who has published 68 books, won a place as a Finalist in the prestigious 13Horror-com Screenplay Contest 2025.

Brenda's gripping sci-fi horror script, a four-episode Screenplay, was selected among the top 25% of entries. The feature-length screenplay based on this novel was praised by judges for its genre-defying fusion of futuristic sci-fi, Caribbean folklore, and dark fantasy, set in a vividly imagined Caribbean Island in 2036. 

Andrew Hannon, the Contest Director, commended the screenplay for its complex narrative, emotional depth, and cinematic horror, highlighting standout moments such as the Carnival massacre, the twist involving Chief Grady, and the poignant revelation of Zeeka’s hidden humanity. 

The panel of Hollywood judges included Andrew Hannon, editor of the international best-selling ‘Thirteen horror anthologies’ and acclaimed writer of screenplays, films, novels, and stage plays such as Stage Fright, Creepy Hill, Carn Evil, and the Dwell In These Demons series. 

This recognition marks a major milestone in Brenda’s journey to bring her literary universe to the screen, reinforcing her reputation as a visionary storyteller with global impact.

Brenda Mohammed is a prolific, multi-award-winning author, literary icon, and screenwriter from Trinidad and Tobago. She has published 68 books and 68 audiobooks across diverse genres, including science fiction, memoirs, mystery, romance, psychological thrillers, Christian non-fiction, children's books, self-help, poetry, and three screenplays. 

Her acclaimed sci-fi thriller, Zeeka Chronicles, has been adapted into a five-series screenplay.
