About

I AM CANCER FREE was an award winner in the category Health and Fitness in the Reader's Favorite International Awards 2018 and winner of Mc Grath House Indie Book Awards 2016 in the category Best Non-Fiction.
When I reflect on the miraculous journey that brought me from near death to perfect healing, I shout Hallelujah.
Nineteen years ago, in 2005, after a botched hysterectomy, the word "cancer" echoed through the walls of the doctor's office in Trinidad.
She said she could not help me and that I needed to go abroad, as there were no oncologists in Trinidad. I needed urgent medical treatment or the cancer would spread and kill me.
Fear gripped my heart, and my husband was just as stunned.
Suddenly, a calmness swept over me. It was as if Jesus said, "Peace, be still, my child. I am with you always."
We returned home, and in the quiet of my room, I knelt by my bed, tears streaming down my face.
I poured out my heart to the One who died on the cross for me.
I whispered, "Jesu,s you healed the woman with the issue of blood when she reached out and touched your garment. I cannot touch your garment, but I am appealing to your kind heart. Please heal me and take this burden from me."
A peace settled over me. It was as if a gentle hand cradled my trembling body.
My husband walked into the room and said that he had called my daughter, Michelle, in Miami, and she made an appointment for me to see a renowned oncologist, Dr. Leo Twiggs, at the Sylvester Cancer Centre at the University of Miami Hospital. He had already made flight arrangements.
Friends and family rallied around me, praying with fervour.
Seven months later, after chemotherapy, scans, tests, and surgery, the doctor declared, "You are cancer-free. Go home and enjoy the rest of your life." The medical team smiled and looked at me. I thanked them, but I knew the Great Physician had touched me. He had answered my prayers.
Today, I stand on the other side of that diagnosis and share my story.
The scars are reminders of His grace.
I lift my hands in praise, not just for physical healing but also for healing of my spirit.
Jesus, the Great Physician, listened to my prayers and healed me.
In this Memoir I am, penning my detailed testimony.
I am a living testament to love that defies reason, to grace that surpasses understanding.
Jesus healed me, and I will honour and praise His Holy Name forever.
I hope that my testimony will help others to never give up despite their ailments and place their burdens at the foot of Jesus.
Cancer does not have to be a death sentence.
Healing by the Almighty is a gift worth celebrating every day..
